E. F. San Juan’s team crafted custom exterior gates, trim, and interior doors for this culturally inspired Alys Beach retreat, blending an Arabesque architectural style with coastal surroundings, earning it recognition in the Alys Gazette.

The E. F. San Juan team provided the custom exterior gates, trim, and interior doors for this soothing Alys Beach retreat. The worldly owners wanted the house to reflect their cultured past, which saw twenty years of living in Dubai and countless travels. We believe the home successfully reflects this distinction through an Arabesque style of architecture and aesthetic while still complementing the coastal surroundings. The house has since been featured in the Alys Gazette and remains one of our team’s most beautiful assignments.

CHALLENGES

One of the project’s challenges was ensuring all trim details formed a cohesive exterior facade. The stark white exterior emphasizes the exterior sea-green trim; therefore, it was important for the team to be highly intentional about the styling and forms of the installs designed by KVA. The same notion applies to the interior trim, as the home is full of intricacies and custom designs that require intense precision. The E. F. San Juan loves a challenge, and this home was no exception.

SOLUTION

The E. F. San Juan team was responsible for the three exterior gates and exterior ceiling paneling in the garage and the north porch. Our team customized the gates to fit the home’s specific needs and tastes, and we feel we were successful in this. The windows and doors are Weather Shield and E. F. San Juan Invincia impact doors, which will protect the house through unpredictable hurricane seasons in Florida. Overall, the custom exterior elements add a layer of timeless luxury and present the home as a charming sight not only for the owners but also for neighborly pedestrians.

On the inside, the intricate details continue through stunning customized trim, making every corner of the house a work of art. The interiors showcase the owners’ international taste through high ceilings and Middle Eastern-inspired furnishings. It was also important for the custom millwork to reflect the Arabesque style, hence the cut-out details lining the eating area, great room, and other areas. The continuous millwork and soothing green color scheme throughout the house successfully tie the interior trim with the outdoor facade, making this home feel complete in every detail. The E. F. San Juan team was proud to flex its creative skills for this project, and we always enjoy working with clients who have a unique vision.
